Defence Minister gives award to winners of “Solution to Problem” challenge
Six experts from Chennai won the second prize for an innovative technology that can enable location-based tactical messaging.
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday gave awards to eight winners of the national level open challenge competition: “Solution to Problem” in Chennai.
The competition, organized during Defence Expo 2018, was aimed at finding solutions to the defence related problems by Innovators, Students, Professionals, Participants and Foreign Nationals.
A team from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, won the first prize with a cash award of Rs 50,000 for finding a solution for flying in areas that interrupt GPS signals.
Six experts from Chennai won the second prize for an innovative technology that can enable location-based tactical messaging.
Another participant from Bengaluru won the third prize for his work on identification of drones/UAVs.
