Congress changes 36-hr Deeksha into fast-unto-death

The Congress leaders have decided to change their 36-hour-long Satyagraha deeksha into fast-unto-death program for pressing for their demands over the disqualification of the defected party MLAs. This was announced by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy at the dharna chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the fast onto death would continue till all their demands were met by the State government. He said that CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka would continue the deeksha at the venue. Targetting CM KCR he said that the CM had butchered democracy in Telangana State. He alleged that both CM and Speaker of the State Assembly were cheating the people of the State and added that cheating by the two leaders had caused irreparable loss to the people of the State instead of the Congress party.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said they never thought that a leader sitting in the Speaker’s chair would resort to such illegal acts. He also alleged that the Speaker was not answering their phone calls made on his personal number. He made it clear that they would field more strong candidates from the 12 Assembly constituencies of the defected MLAs. He alleged that CM KCR had resorted to such illegal acts as he did not want the Opposition in the State Assembly.

He also alleged that the party MLAs were bought through threats and other inducements. He said that they would not keep mum over the acts of the ruling TRS to damage the Congress party in the State. He made it clear that they would remain in the Congress party till their last breath. He said that the CM was busy in buying the MLAs of the Congress party instead of solving Intermediate Board and farmers’ problems in the State.

He mocked that CM KCR liked anti-Telangana MIM party a lot than the Congress party, which created the Telangana State. He called upon all the party candidates, who have contested in the Assembly and MP elections to come to the deeksha venue and express their solidarity with the CLP leader.
