CM Trivendra meets ambassadors and high commissioners of different countries in the New Delhi
Under the “Uttarakhand Investor Summit” being organized to explore the investment opportunities in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, along with his cabinet colleagues and high officials, met the ambassadors and high commissioners of different countries in the New Delhi-based Le Meridian Hotel on Thursday. Cabinet Minister Mr. Prakash Pant, Mr. Madan Kaushik, Mr. Satpal Maharaj, Dr. Harak Singh Singh Rawat, Minister of State Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat and Shmt Rekha Arya and Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister attracted the attention of the ambassadors in relation to the possibility of investment in the state. In this regard, Principal Secretary Shmt Manisha Panwar highlighted the achievements and opportunities in the state through detailed presentation. Chief Minister said that there is a favorable environment for investment in Uttarakhand. For the entrepreneurs and investors, the environment of friendliness has been prepared with effective policy making by the Uttarakhand government. We are ready to move ahead with the entrepreneurs.
Chief Minister said that Delhi has 35 minutes of air travel distance from Dehradun. There is better facility of rail, road, traffic. There is a friendly atmosphere for the industries. State is enriched with adequate power and water, skilled human resources, education and technical education. Entrepreneurs, who want to invest in the state, need a healthy industrial environment, a hard working labour environment, which we have. Strong political will, strong power and positive and supportive atmosphere exists here. A 15-day deadline has been set for the approval of any enterprise. He invited everyone to Dehradun on 7-8 October.
In his address, Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh talked about the favourable environment for investment in the state. He said that there is a possibility of investment in power sector. Uttarakhand is the hub of education and quality education is the identity of the state. In the field of IT, Pharma, Herbal and Ayush, there is great scope for investment. Expert human resources with state’s peaceful and human values identify the state. He welcomed investors for investment in the state.
In this programme, ambassadors and high commissioners of 45 country participated. These include Angola, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Zimbabwe, Mali, Southern Sudan, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Russia, Malta, Iceland, Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Oman, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Mission League of the Arab countries, Israel, El Salvador, Guyana, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, France, Belgium and Germany were present at the programme.
