CM Rawat inaugurate ‘Maa Kunjapuri Mela’ at Narendra Nagar
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the 43rd Siddhpeeth Maa Kunjapuri Tourism and Development mela-2018 at Ramleela Grounds at Narendranagar on Wednesday. On this occasion, Chief Minister inaugurated irrigation department projects worth Rs. 12.16 crore and laid the foundation stone of PWD department projects worth Rs. 9.84 crore. The projects which were inaugurated included strengthening and flood control works from Dhalwala bridge to Chanderbhaga bridge on the left side of Chanderbhaga river in Tehri Garhwal district. The projects for which foundation stones were laid included Centre of Excellence of Organic farming, Tehri Bhawan and repair and strengthening of Dabarkhal-Bhesyaro-motor road in Narendranagar assembly segment. The Chief Minister also evaluated the stalls put up by various departments and the tableaus taken out by school students during the Mela.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat congratulated the people on ‘Navratras’ and said that development of hills is associated with the interest of the state and his government is committed for the development of the hilly areas. He said that he has show cased the geographical diversity of Uttarakhand before the country and the world and this has resulted in investors across the globe attracted towards Uttarakhand. He said that we have to frame such policies for Uttarakhand which could make the future of youth. “ We have to make the youth of the state entrepreneurs so that they can give employment to others. Our state has ample natural resources, We have to develop thinking that how best we could use them,”he said. The Chief Minister said that the government has made efforts to improve, health, education and technology sectors.
On the request of the Cabinet Minister Mr. Subodh Uniyal, Chief Minister made various announcements related to the development of the area which includes giving the status of PG College to Government College Narendranagar, repair work of the Dhalwala road in Narendranagar Development block that got damaged due to disaster, construction work of Down Stream Saccha Dham Ghat of Laxman Jhula in Tapovan area under the Narendranagar development block, Upgradation of Additional Primary Health Center at Gaja to Primary Health Center. Reconstruction work of various roads of Tapovan, concretization work of Gular-Salab-Bhagwa Sera motorway, concretization work of Narendranagar-Dagar-Soni Fart Motorway, completion of Phase II construction of Gontachali-Ghatakaran Motorway, Advani Besi Motorway expansion upto Kapokhri, completing the second phase of Odanda-Pasar-Danda motorway, New construction of Hidola-Mudala motorway, linking the Kargil Shaheed Jagat Singh Motorway to the main road, completion of remaining construction work of Sansman-Kaundiala motorway, new construction of Satya Danda-Paliadanda-Kasmoli motorway, concretization work of Taila-Koteshwar Motorway and concretization work Soarpani-Chamara Devi Motorway.
Cabinet Minister Mr. Subodh Uniyal highlighted the history of Kunjapuri fair and apprised the Chief Minister of various problems of the district.
On this occasion MLA Mr. Shaktilal Shah, Former MLA Mr. Om Gopal Rawat, Block Head Ms. Binita Bisht, District Magistrate Shmt. Sonika, SSP Mr. Yogendra Singh Rawat, Chief Development Officer Mr. Ashish Bhatgai, District President BJP Mr. Sanjay Negi etc. were present.
