CM Rawat inaugurate, lay foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs139.61 crores
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the arch bridge at Chinyalisaur besides inaugurating and laying foundation stones of 39 different development projects worth Rs.139.61 crores on Monday. He inaugurated 11 works worth Rs.78.86 crores while laid the foundation stone of projkects worth Rs. 60.74 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that linking villages of the state with the roads is the first requirement. He said that with the construction of arch bridge at Chinyalisaur , the people of Gamri and Pratapnagar ,Tehri will get the facility of easier transportation. He said that the overall development of the state is the top priority of the government and corruption will not be tolerated. The Chief minister further said that corrupt deals worth Rs.500 crore have been caught and more than 50 people involved in such deals are behind the bars. He said that common people are the worst sufferers of corruption and public money gets into the pockets of few people affecting the developmental works. He said that his government has started a relentless campaign against corruption in the state. Regarding the start of banking facilities in the post offices, he said that remote rural areas will also get banking facilities through post offices with the start of the initiative as post offices have been allowed to do banking activities.
Chief Minister said that government of India has implemented several developmental projects to make every section of the society a participant in the development process. He said that now the money meant for development is reaching the villages directly. Besides providing housing to crores of people Under “Prime Minister Awas Yojna”, poor countrymen are directly getting the benefits of different developmental schemes. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that infiltrators will not be tolerated at any cost in the state. He said that our state is surrounded by international boundaries and there need to keep a sharp vigil on outsiders.
He further said that is abundance of ‘Chir’ (pine) in our forests and by for it’s proper utilization, schemes have been formulated to produce turpentine oil, tar coal and produce electricity through ‘Pirul’. Women are being trained to get involved in such ventures. He said that tourism is an important aspect of state economy and has been given the status of industry. He appealed to the tourism entrepreneurs to get benefits offered to them by the department and also through growth centres. He said that on September 23 “Ayushman Bharat Yojna” will be launched in which all the families of the state will get free medical facilities.
On this occasion, Chief Minister inaugurated the art faculty building, computer lab building and Shaurya Wall in the Degree College, Chinyalisaur. Chief Minister said that Kumarkot-Nagraja Temple-Kalyanigaon Motor Route, Harethi-Jineth-Panther Motor Route, Jagdgaon-Semnagraja Road, Anail-Bagodi-Pujargaon Road, Routal-Mudkil Road, Sunargaon-Badkot-Anol Road, Jankichatti Ring Road, Brahmakhal-Jaspur-Khardadi Khanera Motor Route, Jogat Dichli Gamari Gad Jaspur Motor route, Government Inter College, Jibyakot to be named after Late Mahimanand Nautiyal, Brahmkhal College to be named after Late Attar Singh and also announced the construction of building in Brahmkhal College, starting PG class in Chinyalisaur, making Wi-fi operation in premises and provide additional computer.
While addressing the program, Higher Education Minister and in-charge of the district Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that Ayushman Bharat will be inaugurated on 23rd September, in which all the families of the state will be provided free treatment upto five lakh rupees. He said that public interest, permanent and field works will be done under the district plan. He said that 158 spokespersons have been transferred to different colleges so that there should be a spokesman in every college and 877 spokespersons will be appointed shortly through the Public Service Commission. He said that Gyan Kumbh will be organized in Haridwar and a conference of students unions on the issue of education and drug de-addiction will soon be organized in Dehradun.
MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah congratulated the people for the development works and said that they should work together for the development of the region. Only then will the overall development of the region would be possible.
Yamunotri MLA Kedar Singh Rawat welcomed all the guests and presented him with Angvastra and souvenir. He said that this is a historic day for us, the inauguration and foundation stone of the works to the tune of hundreds of crores in our district has been done by the Chief Minister.
