BJP’s first parliament party meet; PM Modi talks tough to his MP’s
Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks tough to his MP’s and further said bad behaviour is not acceptable. He told his MPs to work for the people in the spirit of service. PM to launch party’s new membership drive from Varanasi on 6th of this month.
After registering a landslide victory in the 2019 general elections, BJP held its first Parliamentary meet on Tuesday. Upon his arrival at the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome with a standing ovation by all the BJP MPs, accompanied by garlands and flower shower. During the meeting, PM Modi directed all the MPs to participate in the proceedings of the Parliament. The Prime Minister further said that his government will work towards the betterment of people and will ensure that announcements made in the annual budget reach every individual.
It was also announced that the party will commence its membership campaign from July 6th. The membership campaign will begin from PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. PM Modi also gave out a stern warning that there is a zero-tolerance policy towards any misconduct by any party representative or leader which maligns the image of the party.
The warning came days after BJP’s senior leader and spokesperson Kailash Vijaywargiya’s son Akash Vijaywargiya was arrested for assaulting a government official on duty.
During the BJP parliamentary meet, PM Modi made it clear that the membership campaign shall be fair, inclusive, and transparent. He added that the campaign will begin by planting 5 trees at the booth centers.
