BJP knobs Chandrababu when his U-turn on demonetization

A day after AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu did a superficial turn on his support to demonetization, the BJP got in touch with its southern ally to clarify matters.

Andhra Chief Minister had been one of the early supporters of the decision to demonetise currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 denomination. Mr.Naidu heads the committee of CM to advise the government on how to move to a less cash, more digital economy.

As Chandra babu reported statements to his partymen on Tuesday therefore rang alarm bells in Delhi.

The Bharatiya Janata party feels that Chandra Babu, stressed with the financial inferences of a new State, may be speaking out as part of some pressure tactic for more assistance from the Centre.
