BJP intensifies campaigining for remaining two phases of Lok Sabha Polls
Campaigining has intensified for the remaining two phases of lok sabha polls. BJP President Amit Shah campaigned in West Bengal, while Yogi Adityanath was in Delhi and parts of UP… here’s more on the BJP’s campaign.
After fifth phase of polling, the ruling BJP has now shifted its focus to the remaining two phases. Senior BJP leaders held rallies exhorting voters to favor the NDA candidates.
BJP President Amit Shah campaigned extensively in West Bengal, and alleged that the Centre had sent Rs 4,24,800 crore to West Bengal during the last five-years, but the state Govt had misued it.
He also alleged that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not allowing people to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in the state.
He wondered if the Lord’s name cannot be taken in India, will it be uttered in Pakistan.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held rallies both in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, seeking support for BJP candidates. He targeted the aam admi party in Delhi and the SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile BJP on Tuesday released a video showing former jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav, who was scheduled to contest against PM Modi in Varanasi but his papers were rejected, allegedly making a controversial remark. BJP questioned the oppositon’s silence on the issue.
The BJP has also come down heavily on the opposition for the language it has used against the Prime Minister in the course of the campaign.
The party insisted that a healthy debate is necessary in a democracy but hate speech against the leader of the country does not fit into any such discussion.
The campaign continues and so do the personal attacks. Can it all be brushed aside as part of the political heat. There are still two phases to go.
