Amravati, 31 October: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has got interim bail in the skill development case. The High Court on Tuesday granted conditional interim bail for four weeks. The conditional bail also said that Chandrababu will have to surrender in court on 24 November. Chandrababu, who has been in jail for the last 52 days, is likely to come out on bail on Tuesday evening.
Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao delivered the verdict. Chandrababu Naidu had sought bail for treatment citing ill health. The High Court said that Chandrababu Naidu would get treatment at the hospital of his choice at his own expense and at the time of surrender, the details of the treatment and the hospital would have to be submitted in a sealed cover to the Rajahmundry Central Jail Superintendent. The High Court will hear the regular bail petition on November 10.
It is noteworthy that Chandrababu Naidu, facing charges of involvement in the skill development case, had approached the High Court after the ACB court refused to grant him bail.
CID had arrested Chandrababu from Nandyala on 9 September. Later he was produced in the ACB court in Vijayawada. The court took him on remand. With this Chandrababu was transferred to Rajamahendravaram jail.
