Pradip Chandra likely to be Telangana’s Chief Secretary
Dr Rajiv Sharma is to retire as Chief Secretary of Telangana State on Nov 30 at Secretariat here and K Pradip Chandra, special chief secretary of Revenue department is all set to succeed him. Rajiv Sharma got two times extension and is likely to serve the state government in another key position as Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao plans to use his services for the government.
According to informed sources, Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a decision to appoint Pradip Chandra for the top post and related orders are expected on Tuesday night or Wednesday. KCR is having a plan to take Rajiv Sharma’s services for the government in future. The state government is planning to give Rajiv Sharma a fitting farewell at the Secretariat and a program is planned at 3 pm. During a Cabinet meeting on Monday, KCR appreciated Rajiv Sharma for his efficient services during bifurcation process of assets, employees and for playing a significant role in tackling key issues. Rajiv Sharma effectively implemented the ideas and plans of the government, KCR reportedly said.
