NABARD sanctions Rs.273.06cr for rural development in AP
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned an amount of Rs.273.06cr to Andhra Pradesh for the rural development in the state. The amount has been sent to the state in two segments like Rs.166.51cr has been issued for the development of 114 roads and 3 bridges in 12 districts of the state. NABARAD Chief General Manager mentioned in his statement that out of the proposed constructions and repairs of the roads and bridges, 95 roads and 2 bridges will be implemented by the Panchayath Raj Department and the rest will be taken up by the R&B Department. He said in his statement that the remaining amount from the allocated amount i.e. 106.55cr is to be spent for the rural water supply projects.
He said that this project will be implemented by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department which will help in providing potable water to 500 habitations under 13 districts in the state. Till now NABARD’s sanction to the state has reached 465.46cr
