Andhra state to get one lakh houses by October 2
AP Minister for rural housing and PR K. Srinivasulu said that the state government is planning to provide 1L ready to move houses for its people by October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi jayanthi. He said that the state government is also planning to lay a foundation stone for another 5L houses soon. He said that the houses are being constructed under the NTR housing scheme for the poor. He said that the state government has planned to provide 2L houses for the poor in rural areas every year. He said that CM Chandra Babu Naidu is ready to provide a financial support of Rs.25000 to the unfinished houses which were taken up by then congress government. He said for this the state government has allotted Rs.500cr.
Minister said that the people need not bribe anyone for this scheme and if they find any they can report it to the government on 1100 number. He said that the toll free number allotted for this housing scheme will also be helpful for the beneficiaries to clarify their doubts. The Minister has ordered the housing department officials to avoid the delay in providing permissions and bills for this housing scheme.
