Truckers to meet IRDAI in Hyderabad on April’3
SZMTWA (The South Zone Motor Transporters’ Welfare Association ) has said that the future course of the truckers’ agitation will depend on the outcome of its meeting with the IRDAI on April 3.
Since Thursday midnight,around 22 lakh trucks have stayed off the road in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Kar,nataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry .
Maxi cabs,tourist and the fuel tankers, taxies of the southern states would also join the agitation from April 3.
There will be no new bookings for taxies and maxi cabs from Monday onwards till the agitation was called off.
Truckers belonging to the South India Motor Transport Association (went on an indefinite strike on Thursday across the southern states in protest against higher insurance premiums and a rule to scrap old vehicles.
