Rising cases of Prostate cancer in Rural India is matter of concern

According to figures released by the Indian Council for Medical Research in 2019, prostate cancer in India is 9-10 per lakh, which is much lower than other Asian and African countries compared to the United States or the West. Experts say that although India has fewer cancer cases than Western countries, the number of cases is increasing in our country due to ever-changing lifestyles and increasing life expectancy. Prostate cancer is one of the growing cases.

In addition, recent research has shown that these cases are more prevalent in northern India than in southern India. However, between 2002 and 2006, the city of Chennai saw a 47 per cent increase. It seems that there are differences in the number of cases between urban and rural areas as well. The main reason for the high incidence in urban areas is the lack of awareness in rural areas.
The majority of the population in our country are those working in agriculture and allied sectors in rural areas. Those who are engaged in this work are exposed to various chemical fertilizers and drugs used in agriculture. It has already been proven that the toxic carcogenic substances in them can cause cancer in the human body. Prostate cancer is one of the most common estrogen-dependent cancers, and these toxic carcinogens are more likely to cause prostate cancer.
How to detect prostate cancer …
According to Dr. Priyank Salecha, Urologist & Andrologist (Male Infertility Expert), Apollo Spectra Hospital,Cancer cells that form in the prostate then separate from the original tumor and join other parts of the body through the bloodstream to form new tumors. These new tumors, which form in those parts of the body, endanger those parts. However, since these tumors originate in the prostate, this whole area is diagnosed and treated as prostate cancer.

Tumors or tumors that form in the prostate may be cancerous or other tumors. There is no risk of death due to other tumors such as benign tumors. These are not suitable for other parts of the body and can be surgically removed. These usually do not recur and do not damage the skin tissue on the prostate gland. However, cancerous tumors or tumors called malignant tumors can be life threatening. These not only damage the surrounding skin cells but also spread to other parts of the body.

There are no symptoms at the onset of the disease. Inflammation of the prostate gland first appears. In addition, difficulties may arise during urination. In addition to these, the following other symptoms may be seen in people with this disease …Frequent urination, Difficulty, pain, inflammation or urinary incontinence during urination, Bleeding in the urine,Fires during sexual intercourse,Pain in the upper abdomen, lower back and thighs,Pain in the lower abdomen,Lack of appetite, weight loss,Pain in the bones.
Prostate cancer is diagnosed by performing two tests, a blood test called a prostate specific antigen and a digital rectal examination. Through these the disease can be worked out in advance. However, the results of these two types of tests can in some cases be due to an infection. Doctors perform a biopsy test for more accuracy when there is such difficulty. In addition to these, the patient’s family history as well as other health problems can be identified and the disease can be accurately diagnosed by biopsy. After the diagnosis, doctors recommend a scan of your body. This allows the disease to be confined to the prostate gland or to other parts of the body.
Early surgery is recommended for people with prostate cancer. Use radiation therapy, chiropractic, focal therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, etc., depending on the condition of the disease along with the surgery.
