President Kovind returns home after two-nation visit
President Ram Nath Kovind has returned home after a successful five-day tour of Mauritius and Madagascar last night.
Earlier on Thursday, President Ram Nath Kovind has said it is time to revitalise trade relations between India and Madagascar. which go back several centuries.
At a joint address with his Madagascar counterpart to the business community in Anta-nana-rivo, the President said India is on a fast growth trajectory and Madagascar seeks investment and expertise. He said both countries can partner each other and cooperate in various fields including agriculture, food processing, health, gems and jewellery, tourism and infrastructure.
The Madagascar President said that his country is committed to economic, reforms as it will create an investment-friendly climate. During his address to the Indian diaspora, the president called upon the young entrepreneurs to come forward to tap the potential that exists between the two countries.
